KUT Dormitory Rules and Instructions

The dormitory is to offer a freshman of KUT an inexpensive and comfortable living environment so that he can stabilize his student life. During the summer vacation, the dormitory is open to the conference participants for their convenience. Please follow the regulations below:

In the room
Make the bed by yourself. Take the used sheets and pillowcase down to the dormitory office (south wing of the 1st floor, C-building) at the time of checkout.
The closet can not be used. Please keep in mind not to touch the student's belongings, if any.

Smoking
No smoking in the dormitory! Smoking is allowed outside only where an ashtray is placed.

Waste disposal
Garbage must be segregated into combustible and incombustible (can, glass and plastic bottles), put into a white or yellow bag designated by the local government and placed at a garbage dumping site located at north wing of the 1st floor, C-building.

Telephone
The telephone in the room is for extension use only. Please use a public telephone for an outside line. A public telephone stands to the west side of C-building. Incoming calls from outside line are not transferred to individual rooms.
Room to room call in dormitory: dial "#5 + room number" for rooms in A-building, "#6 + room number" for rooms in B-building. Call for rooms in campus: dial "#7 + extension number".
Call for rooms in dormitory from campus: dial "75 + room number" for rooms in A-building, "76 + room number" for rooms in B-building.

Internet
Each room has an electric outlet to connect Campus-LAN. In order to connect to LAN, you need a cable (Category 5 Twist Pair Cable).

Restriction on possession
a) Ignitable and dangerous article.
b) Kerosene, electric and gas stove and other instrument using fire.
c) Animals.

Maintenance of the facilities
The following is prohibited: use for unsuitable purpose, moving and altering of the equipment without permission.
Report any damage to the room or its furniture/equipment to the dormitory office. If the damage is caused by the guest, he must pay for the damage.

Emergency Equipment
Fire extinguishers and fireplugs are located in the common space of each floor. Next to the elevator on each floor are emergency staircase and two refuge ladders. The exit of the refuge ladder is locked and covered. In case of emergency, remove the cover by striking it and unlock it to take refuge. Never use an elevator in case of emergency.

Dormitory Office
Dormitory office is located at the south wing of the 1st floor, C-building (Extension Number #7-1290).
