授業の詳細1 講義の目的(Course Objectives)

Students will demonstrate the ability to:

1. Write English sentences that express the information in
-diagrams of simple and compound objects
-information maps representing attributes, comparison (degree and attribute) and classification.
2. Create classification systems that correctly classify English words.
3. Write paragraphs, in English, expressing the content and rationale for their classification systems.
4. Give a short presentation in English explaining the content and rationale for their classification systems.
5. Write English sentences that express a sequence of operations or events.
6. Create flowcharts or other graphics to represent given sequence information.
7. Write paragraphs, in English, expressing the content and rationale of the sequence graphics that they create.
8. Write English sentences and paragraphs to compare and rank various items.

講義の進め方(Course design)

This is a writing workshop to develop technical writing skills. There is no final examination. The students improve their writing by working in a write/rewrite cycle.
