Course Objective and Outline:
In the age of world-wide mega-competition, it is very difficult to get a business success without an effective intellectual property.
The most important thing is to provide a suitable portfolio of intellectual properties for the company's business model/strategy.
In the first half of this course, the basic knowledge about intellectual properties will be explained, and then the relations to
business/depelopment strategy will be discussed.
In the latter half of this course, the intellectual properties like a patent and copyright will be discussed from the legal point of
view. This course will also cover current problems in Japan including the relationship between government/university/industry, and
will discuss the future vision of Japan.
