Details1 Course Objective and Outline Making a business plan and proposing it is the first important gate factors for starting up business. Making a presentation is a key for the success of getting investments by their proposal. Presentation is a significant business tool not only in starting up business but also in any kind of current business scene. The purpose of this class is to learn the basic technique of presentation to utilize it as an effective business tool in many actual business scenes and to enhance our business capability. A lot of topics, cases and exercises will be presented to activate the class discussion in interactive education style. In the class, we will have some guests on lecturing, designing and architecture who will give us some know-how on how to express ourselves in the business scine.  
Details2 1. Introduction Presentation is an important business tool in a variety of business scenes, such as project proposal, business plan explanation and so forth. We first think about the significance of presentation and how to make a more effective one. We take examples of political address, commercial advertisement, announcement of enterprise strategy, marketing activity, project proposal, submission of experimental results, etc. Through looking at many cases, we think about the relation between presenters’ intention and actual result to find out the idea of making an effective presentation. 2. Practice of presentation To recognize the difficulty of building an effective presentation, the students are requested to make a short presentation each by each and to discuss about the presentation manners and their effectiveness. 3. Construction of presentation A success of presentation deeply depends on the hook of the story and the construction and the framework of the whole story of the presentation. We learn what kind of hook and what kind of construction is effective for the presenter’s intention.

Presentation as expression Presentation is one of the behaviors of self expression like many art performances like poem and literature (expression by language), picture book and fine art (expression by visual form), music (expression by sound), photograph (expression by 2D picture), and movie (expression by moving pictures). We can learn the essence and the clue of expressions through these many kinds of activities, which are very suggestive for making a good presentation. 5. Presentation as a communication tool Presentation is also one of the communication tools. We learn the general difficulty of transferring intention and information through some exercises. 6. Tools of presentation We overview a variety of tools for presentation and learn which tool is convenient for some presentations and which way is suitable for its effective usage.

Presentation practice Finally, each student will be requested to make a presentation as an exercise again, by utilizing knowledge and measures we learned in the class, and to discuss about what advise has been done for advancing the presentation and what is a result of such an advise (comparing with the first presentation in the class).
