Global Citizen syllabus 2010
授業の目的 Course Objectives:
1. Students will become familiar with a range of topics relating to today’s world:
? General geography
? General history
? World economies: north/south
? Environmental issues
? Conflicts/Human rights
? Cultures/Religions
2. Students will learn reading techniques and information searching techniques for getting information about the above topics.
3. Students will practice writing about and giving presentations about global topics.
授業の進め方 Course design:
Weekly reading homework and weekly quizzes. In class: discussion and small project work. Students will
write short reports and/or give mini presentations every two weeks. TOEIC: students must take TOEIC test one time in the semester.

Assessment:
40% for general knowledge tests
20% for presentations
40% for writing assignments
AA: 90% or higher
A: 80% or higher
B: 70% or higher
C: 60% or higher
Fail: less than 60%
備考 Notes:
履 修前の受講が望ましい科 目 Requirements for enrollment in this course: Students must have taken all 8 course in 1st and 2nd year English at KUT and must have a TOEIC score of more than 350. Otherwise, the permission of the instructor is required.
