On September 18, we held the Autumn Graduation Ceremony for the 2026 academic year, where 17 students embarked on new paths after completing their studies: 10 from the bachelor's program, 1 from the master's program and 6 from the doctoral program.

Following the conferral of degrees, Professor CHONO Shigeomi, the President of Kochi University of Technology addressed the graduates, stating, " Just as the pursuit of knowledge is endless, so is your potential for growth. I hope you will always keep in mind the commitment to constantly strive for what should be, continuing to learn with passion throughout your lives as you work toward solving the global challenges mentioned earlier. Along the way, you may encounter failure, but please do not fear it. Failure is proof of taking on challenges and a rich source of learning. I look forward to seeing each of you pioneer a vibrant and prosperous future with your own hands."

On behalf of the graduating students, Dr. WANG Hexi expressed, " As a graduate, it is my honor to stand here and deliver this speech. I'd like to specially thank my supervisor, Professor Toru Kurihara. He is very professional and responsible. In the early stages of my research, I had a lot of shortcomings. Under his patient guidance, I feel that I have gradually become more mature and stable. I believe I will benefit throughout my life. KUT has provided me with a stable environment to study, reflect, and grow. Wherever we go next, I hope we can remember what we learned from here, not only from our research, but also from the people we met and the experiences we shared. I hope KUT continues to thrive, and I hope all of us can find our own paths in the future."
