HISTORY
With the ambitious objective of becoming a world class university, Kochi University of Technology was inaugurated as an incorporated educational institution built by Kochi Prefecture. The university was reconfigured as Kochi Prefectural Public University twenty years after its establishment, but our high aspirations have never changed. We are promoting innovative university management in terms of both distinctive education and research, and systematic social contribution.

The Investigation Committee for the Conception of Kochi Prefectural Technical University was established．

The Planning Committee for the Technical University was established.

The Preparation Committee for the Foundation of Kochi University of Technology was established．

Establishment of the Preparation Foundation for Kochi University of Technology was approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture．
