The 8th International Symposium on Frontier Technology (ISFT)
First Announcement and Call for Paper
Kochi University of Technology started special scholasrhip program(SSP) in 2003 to support the advanced research of university by enlisting the help of highly capablle doctoral students especially from foreign countries. The International Symposium on Frontier Technology (ISFT) , whichi is sponsored by China branch of KUT alumni association, successfully convoked 7 times in China, Japan and Thailand. It provides an excellent platform to enhance collaboration among KUT graduated students, KUT professors and scholars from other universities and institutions.

Paper Submission Type
Prospective authors can choose one of two submission types: either submitting only an abstract or submitting a full paper.
① Submission of Abstracts Only
Approximately 300 words in English including Title, Authors, Affiliation, Abstract, and Keywords
If you choose submitting only abstract, it is regarded as informal submissions, copyright does not belong to ISFT
Does not hinder submissions to other conferences
Previously presented submissions are also acceptable
Not published in the Proceedings
② Submission of Full Papers
4-8 pages
If you choose submitting full paper, you required to submit abstract by the abstract submission deadline, too
Your submission is regarded as formal submissions, and copyright belongs to ISFT
Not permissible to submit to other conferences
Published in the Proceedings with ISSN code
Clearly indicated in the program that it's a presentation with a Full Paper

Important Dates
Abstract deadline (International): April 20th 2024
Abstract deadline (Domestic) : May 15th 2024
Note: KUT will provide prospective authors who need a visa with an invitation letter upon request. Because of this, we have set the abstract deadline earlier for international participants than for domestic participants. But the submission deadline is negotiable if you do not need visa to enter Japan.

Prospective authors can make request for invitation letter for visa application through Microsoft CMT as of abstract submission.
Participation Fees
International and Domestic faculty: 15,000JPY
Student: 7,500JPY
Attendees without submission: Free of Charge*
* Attendees who join official lunch and the party for SSP 20th Anniversary will be charged the same amount as registration fees.
