Research Institute of KUT

The Research Institute of KUT, established in 1999, works to provide an opportunity for outstanding researchers to develop their creative research freely, under their own responsibility.
When the university became a public university corporation in 2009, the institute was drastically reorganized and its mission was redefined to focus on competition at the global cutting edge of academic research.
Currently the institute consists of 7 research centers and 3 focused research labs.

Research Organization for Regional Alliances

KUT, incorporated as a public university in 2009, has established a new organization, the Research Organization for Regional Alliances (RORA), in order to enhance KUT's contribution to community..
This organization has two organically combined centers: the Center for Research Collaboration, which consists of several research laboratories, and the Center for Regional Alliances, which plays the role of a think tank for regional revitalization..
Since its establishment, KUT’s objective has been ‘Always seeking to attain optimum university form and to make KUT a world caliber university.’ To this end, RORA is aiming at pioneering, best-form regional contributions. That is, utilizing the ‘social management systems’ research uniquely envisioned and developed by KUT, to work to create a better society, starting at the community level.
