YOSAKOI Summer School was held.

The 5th "YOSAKOI Summer School" was held from August 4th to 13th. The program has been adopted as "Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science" (SAKURA Exchange Program in Science) and subsidized by Japan Science and Technology Agency.

This program has started in 2012 as one of the globalization plans for Kochi University of Technology (KUT). Students from some partner universities were invited to KUT and interacted directly with KUT students through many programs such as lectures about Japan and KUT advanced technologies, one night study tour in Kochi western area and dancing in YOSAKOI Festival.

28 KUT students interacted with 14 foreign students from Tsinghua University from China, Chulalongkorn University from Thailand, Seoul National University from South Korea, National Taiwan University from Taiwan, Bandung Institute of Technology from Indonesia, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne from Switzerland and Western Sydney University from Australia this year.
