Laboratory Overview

Laboratory Objectives

Realization of a sustainable society requires the management of local energy consumption, supply, and sensing; currently attention is being paid to ultra-low power consumption computing and memory elements that combine notions including edge computing, IoT, and environmental sensors.
Laboratory for Neuromorphic Sensors aims to realize a sustainable energy-circulating society through the development of energy-efficient, autonomous information processing sensors and recycling-based energy devices based on thin-film device technology.

Research Direction and Future Prospects

We develop innovative devices utilizing carbon nanotube (CNT) technology, oxide thin films, memristors, and metamaterial technologies, and integrate them into biomimetic sensors.
