Laboratory/research office Econometrics Laboratory
This lab uses observed economic data to explore the question of the existence of a relationship between economic variables. That relationship can be validated using economic theory and mathematical statistical techniques. The economic data are heterogeneous, but cannot be observed directly, as in the case of human relationships. Our research theme is "awareness of the voice of the data." Furthermore, assuming a valid relationship, we are working to build an economic model based on systems of simultaneous equations. We will use that model to quantitatively evaluate the impacts of changes in economic policy and social environment on the economy.
