The Planning Committee for the Technical University was established

The Preparation Committee for the Foundation of Kochi University of Technology was established．
January 25, 1995
Establishment of the Preparation Foundation for Kochi University of Technology was approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture．
December 20, 1996
The formation of the private education corporation Kochi University of Technology was approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture．
April 1, 1997
Kochi University of Technology was opened．
April 1, 1999
Graduate School of Engineering was opened．
October 1, 1999
Research Institute of KUT was opened.

KUT Research Collaboration Center was opened.

The construction of Education and Research Building C was completed.
