Statistical Physics Laboratory
As well as materials, ecosystems are constituted by a vast number of strongly interacting components. In our laboratory we are working to (a) address fundamental issues in statistical physics, including out-of-equilibrium dynamics, nonlinear response, and complex network formation, which are generic to strongly interacting systems; and (b) develop a method of using data analytics in agroforestry, to identify useful plant systems, and in social and economic systems, to detect collective emotional states and systemic responses causing micro-hits or financial crises. |
