Areas of specialization
Laboratory/research office Topology Laboratory
Topology is the branch of mathematics which studies the global properties of geometric objects and describes them in terms of rigorous algebra. Recently, the tools developed in topology have had application to real-world science/technology topics such as big data analysis and new models of proteins. We will continue to study the topology of mapping class surface groups and its application to the moduli space of Riemann surfaces, taking into account the applications mentioned above.
