Laboratory for Science and Technology Administration
Science and technology activities range from from basic science research to large scale projects in fields such as atomic energy and space exploration. The results of science and technology research and development contribute to human society as a whole, but on the other hand they may have large scale harmful effects on our society, for example accidents at nuclear power plants. There is an urgent need to pursue different policies and also different administrative approaches in these complicated fields. I am working to apply my experience of over 30 years as a central government administrator to the search for new paradigms for science and technology policy and administration. |
