Space and Earth Exploration Systems Laboratory
The development of new exploration methods is extending our reach into unknown regions both in space and on the Earth, and thus increasing our knowledge about habitable human environments on planet Earth. In our lab we are studying topics strongly connected to difficult problems including space exploration, disaster prevention and energy consumption, which need to be solved in the near future. In particular, we are developing self-control and low-energy-consumption exploration systems with the capability of working under severe environmental conditions, for implementation aboard balloons, rockets, and satellites. Our current activities include practical flight experiments and the development of sensors for application in regional disaster prevention. |
