Professor Tetsuya Yamamoto acting ICDS co-chair as host country representative

The International Conference on Defects in Semiconductors (ICDS), an academic gathering on functional defects in various semiconductor materials, will be held at Kunibiki Messe in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture from July 31 to August 4, 2017. Professor Tetsuya Yamamoto, Head of KUT Research Institute's Materials Design Center, will serve as co-chair in the role of host country representative.

This is the 29th biennial ICDS international conference since the conference series began in the United States in 1959.
There will be 303 presentations at the conference, given by researchers from countries including Japan, the United States, France and Germany, both prominent researchers and young researchers who will play important roles in the future.
Organizations supporting the organization of the conference are the Chugoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Committee, 15 companies, various academic associations, the Japan Fine Ceramics Association and Kochi University of Technology.
