On December 4th, 16 Anhui University (China) students and 2 faculty members visited Kochi University of Technology.

This is a part of 2017 Sakura Exchange Program in Science which Kochi International Association applied to and was approved by Japan Science and Technology Agency. Anhui University is one of KUT's partner universities and Anhui province concludes friendship agreement with Kochi Prefecture. The tour was organized based on this relationship.

On the very first day of the tour, the visited KUT, and School of Systems Engineering Professor. KAI Yoshiro gave a lecture regarding earthquake and tsunami disaster. Participants learned about how an earthquake and tsunami happens and how to minimize and prevent disasters. Some people in Anhui where tunami does not happen are not familiar with tunami, but all participants listened to Prof. Kai's lecture enthusiastically.

After the lecture, some KUT students joined them. KUT students gave them a KUT campus tour and they talked about their students' life and both countries. This has became a great opportunity for students from both universities to know each other and deepen the relationship.
