English Boot Camp in Vancouver held on August 25 - September 3, 2018

The English Boot Camp in Vancouver program was launched for the first time this year with the aim of strengthening students' English communication ability and giving them the opportunity to communicate with various people and study Canadian culture, which is known as very diverse.

17 KUT students joined this program this year. Students learned English and also diverse cultures through the homestay in British Columbia. Students were able to enjoy the company of their host families and immersed themselves for 24 hours in English life with the host families.

And, in the daytime program, they visited the University of British Columbia (UBC). They had discussions and debates with UBC students and also did some interviews in the campus. They also visited a retirement home in Surrey and talked with senior citizens.

Through their conversations with different people from different cultures in Canada, students have learned not only English, but also gained a lot of new perspectives. This program certainly became an eye-opener for the participants and they are saying that they will work harder to improve their English skills and knowledge.
