Promoting KUT at the China-Japan University Fair in Chengdu, China
The Japan-China University Fair & Forum in China 2019, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), was held in Chengdu, Sichuan on May 25 and 26, 2019.
Representing KUT were President Masahiko Isobe, Professor Tetsuya Yamamoto (Director, Materials Design Center, Research Institute), Professor Chaoyang Li (School of Systems Engineering), Designated Professor Shinichiro Sakikawa (International Relations Center) and three staff members from the secretariat. They had the opportunity to explain KUT's research power to the presidents of various Chinese universities, researchers and general participants. In addition, at the Japan-China Presidents Round Table Meeting and in individual meetings with university presidents, they called for Chinese institutions to join in academic research cooperation with KUT, and invited Chinese students to study in KUT's doctoral program.
