Google-KUT Society of Women Engineers joint event

Google and the KUT Society of Women Engineers (KSWE) held a joint event on June 14 at the Kami Campus. 74 people participated, among them 65 students (17 women and 48 men) and nine faculty members.

To nurture female engineers, KSWE is supporting the creation of a network of female students of all levels, where female researchers and engineers can have discussions and exchanges of information. Event activities included exchange meetings, lectures, sharing with international students, and job hunting support.

Ms. Sara Kato and Ms. Yuzu Saijo of Google Inc. were invited to speak on the theme, "Careers in software engineering." They talked about their careers and their experience at Google, their interest in software engineering, and the details of Google internships.
