Doctoral Program
In the doctoral program, students' acquired knowledge and skill will be deepened and focused in order to cultivate creative people with high levels of skill, able to identify and solve problems. Also, investigative and professional research skills will be encouraged. The result: highly motivated people who can move into challenging, frontier fields beyond their original field of studies.

Engineering Course
The Engineering Course is cross-discipline: faculty from a number of different fields work in an integrated environment to give multidisciplinary instruction and direction in comprehensive research to doctoral students who wish to obtain a doctorate through full-time attendance.
Entrepreneur Engineering Management Course
Today's knowledge-based society needs core human resources who can create new knowledge and value with their foundation of rich acquired knowledge useful in various social scenarios. The Entrepreneur Engineering Management Course aims at the cultivation of professionals who can respond to and act on the needs of this era. In particular, we focus on fostering energetic human resources for industry, individuals who can independently identify issues, offer solutions to those issues, create projects, and implement them. Using the knowledge acquired in the master's program, each student will work in collaboration with a faculty supervisor to conduct research on the processes needed to create new business within and outside a company. Through that research the students will consolidate and activate their acquired knowledge.

The Entrepreneur Engineering Management Course will discontinue admissions after the Fall 2026 intake and will no longer accept applications from Academic Year 2027 onward. Applicants considering enrollment in Academic Year 2027 or later are requested to read the following;
Although the Entrepreneur Engineering Management Course will no longer accept applications from the Academic Year 2027 entrance examination onward, applicants may still pursue a graduate degree through the Engineering Course or the Special Course for Mid-career Professionals, if they obtain the consent of a qualified academic supervisor.
Applicants wishing to study primarily in management-related areas, such as technology-based problem solving and value creation, are advised to consult with their prospective supervisor before applying. After discussing their study and research plans, applicants should select the most appropriate course and submit their application accordingly.
System for provision of lectures for the Entrepreneur Engineering Management Course
Lectures for the Entrepreneur Engineering Management Course will be conducted on Saturdays and Sundays over a network spanning three campuses: the Tokyo Satellite Campus, the Osaka Satellite Campus and the Kochi Campus, using a remote TV lecture system. In addition, two on-site seminars will be held each year. The Spring seminar will be held at KUT (one Saturday-Sunday two day session).
Special Course for Mid-career Professionals
The Special Course for Mid-career Professionals is designed for individuals who are already established in their careers and who have some level of achievement in industrial or academic research. This degree program has a minimum one-year study requirement, as opposed to the usual three.
