本学、環境理工学群 西脇永敏 教授の研究室に所属する、大学院工学研究科博士課程基盤工学コース2年 LE, Thi Songさんと、環境理工学群4年 藤本俊樹くんが、日本化学会中国四国支部支部長賞を受賞しました。
　日本化学会中国四国支部では昭和59年度より，支部の活性化と化学奨励を目的として、中国・四国地方の化学系工業高校および工業高等専門学校を対象に、化学の授業、実験ならびに研究を通して優れた成績をあげた学生・生徒に支部長賞を授与しており、平成10年度からは受賞対象者を大学化学関連学科に、さらに平成16年度からは大学院化学関連専攻に拡大しています。

It is my pleasure to receive this award from The Chemical Society of Japan, Chugoku - Shikoku Branch. First of all, I wish to express my gratitude and my sincere thanks to Professor Nagatoshi
Nishiwaki for the insightful advice, continuous encouragement and patient personal counselling he has given to, and for the appreciate guidance and commendation he has spent with me. Warm thanks are also sent to my lab mates, Dr. Haroyasu Asahara, Mr. Sho Hirai and other lab members for their cooperation and academic support. Words cannot express my gratitude to my family for their encouragement and so many sacrifices to ensure me to study. Finally, I would like to thank the president of The Chemical Society of Japan, Chungoku - Shikoku Branch for his/her decision to give me this award. This award surely fulfill me to push my research step forward until the optimum goal completes.
