With the approaching #25 typhoon, it looks like Saturday will be rainy. I would like to move the Kids English Shimanto Camp to Sunday afternoon through Monday.
Please see updated schedule below:
* Dates: 10/7～10/8 (UPDATED)
* Time: 13:00～ (Check the weather report. If still raining at 13:00, we will meet later in the day on Sunday).

台風25号接近のため土曜日は雨天になりそうです。よって本イベントを10/7(日)の午後～10/8(月)に延期します。
延期後の新しいスケジュール：
※日時：10/7(日) 13:00〜10/8(月)15:00（天気予報で、10/7(日)の13:00にまだ雨が降っている場合は日曜日の夕方から開催します)

Also, if there is too much rain from the typhoon and the river is high, the event will be cancelled.
Paul-sensei will send out an update to participant after checking the weather on Friday and Saturday.
また、台風の大雨で川の水位が高い場合イベントを中止します。
金曜日または土曜日に天気を確認の上、ポール教授が参加者に連絡します。

October 6-7, 2018 ※Start 12:00 (Saturday). Finish 15:00 (Sunday)
* If rain on Saturday, we will camp October 7-8, 2018.

Activities

BBQ, campfire, kayaking, SUP (Stand up paddling), water safety, and English conversation.
(バーベキュー、キャンプファイアー、カヤック、サップ(スタンドアップパドル)、水の安全について、英語での会話)

What to bring

■Warm clothes (暖かい服)
■Sleeping bag (寝袋)
■Water wear for kayaking & Life jacket (カヤックするための水着とライフジャケット)
■Own food (Dinner 10/6. Breakfast & lunch 10/7.) (自分達の10/6の夕食と、10/7の朝食、昼食分を持参してください)
＊We have gas stoves & BBQ set, so we usually share if you can't bring a camp stove. (キャンプ用コンロを持ってこられない方は、用意してあるガスコンロとBBQセットを使うことができます。)
■Own tent or reserve a cabin (テント、もしくは客室の予約)
＊ No reservation needed for tent camping. We have an extra 2/3-person tent if you need one. (テントの予約はできません。2-3名用の予備テントが一張ありますので必要な方は相談してください。)

Kochi University of Technology is not responsible for any injuries or accidents that may occur at events. A parent or guardian must accompany each child during events.
Events are intended to bring together kids & parents who are interested in communicating in English. 'Teaching' English is not the main goal of this program.
