Laboratory/research office Laboratory of Photonics for Optical Field Control
We develop innovative optical measurement and processing techniques by precisely controlling the optical electric field. Specifically, our original device—the polarization mode converter (PMC)—is applied to both optical sensing and laser processing, enabling us to generate optimal optical fields based on the structure and properties of the target. This approach allows for high-resolution visualization of nanostructures, selective excitation of materials, and localized non-thermal processing. These optical field control technologies have practical applications in various fields, including medical imaging, functional material characterization, and advanced manufacturing processes.
