We are exploring methods to enable computers to acquire knowledge from images and videos and understand their content, with the aim of contributing to the creation of a society with a high degree of appropriateness and compatibility for people. Specifically, we are developing fundamental technologies for capabilities such as detecting humans in images, classifying fine-grained attributes, and recognizing human behaviors. Additionally, we are investigating methodologies (using these technologies) for the recognition, analysis, and prediction of events portrayed in images. Our main focus is on the end-to-end deep learning approach.
