The aim of our research is to develop key technologies including compact wearable sensor systems to estimate human motion, force and energy with high accuracy; and actuators using energy regeneration, to contribute in the fields of health promotion, medical welfare, and sports. Based on these technologies, for the health of the middle aged and elderly, our research is currently developing gait evaluation and assist system, and a posture improvement training system to prevent lumbago. In addition, exploratory research integrating brain information engineering and deep learning is being conducted.
