Number of construction dispute is increasing in recent years even in Japan. Especially, contractors have started to bring an action a suit against public work ordering party. On the other hand, a law to accelerate use of ADR was enforced in 2007. However, use of ADR for contractors against public work ordering party is still very few in Japan. Research topics are construction contracts, dispute resolution and hindrances to ADR for contractors against public work ordering party in Japan.
