Astrophysics
The universe consists of a variety of astronomical systems, often referred to as hierarchical structures, including planets, stars, star clusters, galaxies, and galaxy clusters. Indeed, the universe itself may be regarded as the largest system in the hierarchy. Formation and evolution of those structures are dictated by gravity. We are trying to understand their dynamical behavior, both from Newtonian mechanics and General relativity, with particular emphasis on their observational consequences. |
