Industrial Organization
In many countries, regulators (e.g., FTC in the US, CMA in the UK) are monitoring M&A and sales practice such as bundling in oligopoly markets. Upon the rise of platformers such as “GAFA,” the regulators are required to reconsider how to restrict the market power of those firms with new business models. In my lab, we examine how specific regulations against big firms affect the firms and consumers by using microeconomics and game theory. |
