This laboratory studies the theories and applications of artificial and computational intelligence on computers. Our research topics include fuzzy logic, which deals with various ambiguous of information, neural network inspired from human brain neurons, genetic algorithm inspired from life and genes, and machine learning. These techniques are called as soft computing and computational intelligence. We apply them to content-based image retrieval system, fMRI-based brain decoding system, data mining from WWW articles, medical imaging, and so on.
