Laboratory/research office Dynamic Design Laboratory
This laboratory studies dynamic design, identification, and control of the mechanical system based on the knowledge of mechanical dynamics and control engineering. The main subjects are vehicle and human dynamics: We aim to improve safety and ride comfort assuming society of the self-driving machine, and to development rehabilitation methods and establish the evaluation method to increase efficiency of diagnosis and medical treatment in the medical field. We focus on the dynamic modeling of human and soft sensing. Appropriate human dynamics modeling enables us to make evaluation and control of human dynamics easily. Based on the model, it is possible to estimate critical information from limited sensing data using the soft sensing technic. In education, we train engineers who have not only a mechanical dynamics skill, but also electronics and communication engineering skills to adapt the IoT technology.
Current research topics Development of simplified measurement system of center of gravity during standing and its balance evaluation Evaluation of stability and efficiency in gait Development of mobility systems considering dynamic load on human body
