詳細 　図形の大域的性質を取り出して代数的に堅固な構造として理解するのが位相幾何であり、そこで培われてきた手法は近年、ビッグデータの解析、或いはタンパク質の新しいモデルなど、いわゆる線型性では理解できない現象に関係する、科学・技術への応用も行われるようになっています。 より一般に、最近は現代数学の精緻さが、技術的・社会的課題の解決に役立つと広く認識されつつあるところです。

　当研究室は、これらの状況も念頭に置きつつ、これまで行ってきた、曲面の写像類群の位相幾何的研究、並びにそのリーマン面のモジュライ空間への応用を目指していきます。
